Pixel Soldiers: Kaiju

In development

A tactical roguelite about holding the planet together while it comes apart. You command an Army detachment against monsters that swarm out of rifts in the ground. You close the rifts, evacuate cities, and hold a position until sunrise. The ground you fight over is generated fresh each time, and it does not stay standing.

Studio

I make games I want to play. That’s most of the brief. If other people enjoy them too, that’s a good day.

What I’m chasing is fun, the kind of game you keep loading up because the last go was a good one.

That comes from playing everything I could get my hands on over the years, and from indie games in particular, which are where most of my ideas start.

The art is pixel or low poly. I think those styles bring gameplay up to the surface better than anything else.

There’s no grand plan behind any of this. I make the thing, and then I make the next one.
